Utah EBT Card Balance

If you are approved for the Utah SNAP Program, you will be issued an EBT Card, also known as a Horizon Card, that will allow you to redeem those benefits. Your EBT Card can be used just like a debit card at participating grocery stores to purchase qualified food items. You can also use your Horizon Card to withdraw your benefits at ATMs throughout Utah. Your benefits are delivered to your EBT Card each month for use in the following schedule:

  • Last name A – G available on the 5th of every month
  • Last name H – O available on the 11th of every month
  • Last name P – Z available on the 15th of every month

Along with your EBT Card, you will also receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that protects your account from being used by someone else. Be sure to keep your PIN secret because it allows you to purchase food that is on the list of allowable items.
