The New Jersey EBT Card Program, also called the Families First EBT Card, enables low-income individuals and families to receive cash benefits to help pay for food. The Food Stamp Program administers EBT Cards to those who are eligible. The County Welfare Agency is responsible for determining the eligibility of those who apply for the New Jersey Families First EBT Program.
The New Jersey EBT Card is similar to a bank card, in the sense that you must use your Personal Identification Number (PIN) to use the benefits deposited into your card. Once the benefits are deposited, you may begin using your card to redeem benefits.
In this post, we address how to check the balance on your New Jersey EBT Card–
