The Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS) is responsible for administering the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as the Food Stamp Program. SNAP helps low-income households obtain a healthy diet by increasing their purchasing power at grocery stores through food assistance benefits. Benefits are distributed every month to Oregon SNAP recipients via a plastic EBT card.
The Oregon EBT Card, also known as the Oregon Trail Card is a debit-like card that can be used at eligible grocery stores to redeem food stamp benefits. Benefits distributed to a food stamp recipient’s EBT Card can be used to purchase approved food items. How to Check Oregon EBT Card Balance
There are two way to find the balance on your Oregon Trail EBT Card. We’ve listed both options for you below. If you have any questions about how to check your Oregon EBT Card Balance, please leave those in the comments section below.
Option 1 – Check your Last Receipt
The first option for checking your Oregon Trail EBT card balance is to check your last receipt. This is the easiest and quickest way to find the current balance on your Oregon Trail Card. Your balance will be listed at the bottom of your last grocery store or ATM receipt. To use this method as a means for checking your Oregon Trail Card balance, be sure to always keep your last receipt when using your EBT Card.
Option 2 – Check by Phone
The second option for checking your Oregon Trail EBT card balance is by phone. If you want to check your EBT balance by phone, you will need to contact the Oregon SNAP Customer Service Hotline. The hotline is open to Oregon SNAP recipients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The customer service phone number is listed below:

Before you call, please be sure to have your EBT card number and 4-digit personal identification number (PIN) ready. You must provide the agent with this information prior to receiving your Oregon Trail card balance.
