The North Carolina EBT Card is managed by the Division of Social Services which is part of the state’s Department of Health and Human Services. North Carolina Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) recipients (Food Stamps or SNAP benefit recipients) use EBT cards to access FNS benefits. Here is how to check the balance on your North Carolina EBT Card:

There are two ways to check the balance on your Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) card:

Option 1 – Visit the North Carolina EBT Website:
This is perhaps the easiest option to check your balance is to visit the Food and Nutrition Services EBT Balance Site. You will need your card number to be able to log-in. Once logged in, you can review your account information, transaction history and check how much money you have left on your card. See below for the website and what it looks like:

Option 2 – Call the North Carolina EBT Phone Number:

Another way to verify how much you have on your card is to call the customer service phone number that is located at the back of your card. If you can’t find the number on your card, here it is – 1-888-622-7328. Make sure you have your card available. You will need your card number to check the balance. The automated phone line is available 24 hours a day.
